Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
What you do to you is what you do to you. What happens to your dogs however, is something else.
So ask yourself: do you want to get better, in which case call the doctor, or are you not bothered, in which case you drop those dogs off at a dog shelter.
You have responsibilities.
As well as what sounds like severe clinical depression.
Another thing I saw in your post had me thinking you're probably an introvert. Understanding my introversion has done amazing things for me, even in helping me understand my depression. I was laid off 8 months ago and have used some of this time to learn more about how I'm wired. It's helped me be more ok with who I am. There's a free online test if you're interested: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test. I found this stuff fascinating. I found a couple of facebook pages on my personality type and I've been following them to keep on learning.
I just said a prayer for you, too. My faith in Christ has played a big part in helping me seek the help I need, and accept the help I need. I believe God brings the right people into our lives when we need them. And you coming on here just might be about that.
