Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

and an hour commute to work isn't doing much for your stress level (i don't know why i picked up on that, i guess we do really read into posts)...
sorry i'm not much good at "advice" - but i wanted you to know that i read this and i hear you!
(((((hugs)))))
i don't deal well with stressful situations....and i've gone through many of them here recently. i feel your pain :)
As for the teens they cannot get assistance until they are 18 - dd is my financial responsibility until then (5 more months) and boyfriend is looking for work so hopefully some help for me soon. My ex hasn't paid any child support since he was ordered to a year and a half ago so that doesn't help... I applied for maintenance enforcement and they are suppose to get it from him but they have done nothing in a year. Also someone stole my child tax benefit that I was getting for my daughter.. it wasn't her father but the tax office can't tell me who, they just said someone else is getting it. I have reapplied and wrote a letter to them to get it back but no word yet; I'm calling tomorrow.
As if there isn't enough on my plate my father is dying of cancer. He is still home but on alot of pain medication and other stuff. His doctor says they will 'keep him comfortable' which to me is the equivalent of 'there's no more hope'. We have had our issues, he's not a nice man mostly so its hard to be compassionate and yet he's my dad and I hate to know he's suffering - with fear even if the pain is under control.
The hour commute to work is a big issue for me. When I moved an hour away from work to be closer to my family last year because my dad was sick I was permitted to work from home at least 4 out of 5 days. Now I have a new manager, I'm on a new team and the rules are not as lenient. They want me in the office unless I have a legitimate reason and let them know a day ahead. My back has been very bad so thats been my reason for a few months now but its getting better so I went 4 days last week. I hate the commute and it does stress me out that I lose 2 hrs of my life every day just driving and I don't have a radio so my mind is free. I don't have a huge cd collection but I try to play what won't upset me more. and I usuallyl call by boyfriend and talk to him while I drive home (hands free of course).
Thanks for your support and understanding... sometimes I just to get this stuff out of my head and know that someone has heard and understands. I love this site.
Oh and you can check out books ad music on cd at the library for free for your commute. If you have enough memory on your cell phone most libraries have access to online books that you can down load and listen to for free as well. And i know money is tight but take five to ten dollars a week set it aside for a month. At the end of the month do something nice just for you. . . Like if there's a massage school close go get one. Cheap and really good if you like massages... Or facials or pedicures or a movie by yourself or dinner at your fav restaurant or what ever because you are the head of the ship and need to be cared for too.
