I don't feel like I have much of a future left. I am watching my hopes and dreams shatter around me while the noose gets tighter and tighter. Good things never manage to happen to me. I only sink lower and lower. I'm just tired and think about the end more and more. I don't think I have in it me to continue living for much longer.

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

Something to consider.
I have been suicidal and have always been glad I never did it because something always got better
I wish I had faith in things would get better for me, but they just seem to get worse. :\
But I'm in the same frame of mind as you right now and I think forever. I don't think A/D will work for me anymore. I spent yesterday all alone (no family any longer)l My cat was my family and I lost him a few months ago. I have another cat, but he is sick and causing me a lot of stress. No friends, no family, no love. I'm old enough to make the decision whether I want to go on or not. I wish there was a peaceful way to go for me. Why isn't there.
I'm not just depressed anymore (as I was on & off). I'm finished with my journey and a wonderful journey it was - but I want it to be over.
Continuing hugs
As I said before, you're too young to say your journey is over. I used to think that at times, but some inner voice or inner strength felt there just may be a lot of unexpected, positive tomorrow - and there were - so many of them.
Its just that I'm older - not old - but older, in my 60s. I never expected to be so alone or to suffer the pain of so many losses. I've lost faith in people (especially lately); if my cat were still alive, I'd never abandon him. Besides, he brought me a lot of joy and for that I was willing to live.
I guess I've lost the hope that there will be a positive tomorrow for me. I just don't see things getting any better. The loneliness eats me alive. I am trying to take things day by day, but it is hard with so much pain.
I do know how you feel about your cat. That is how I feel about mine. I am sorry you lost your dear cat. I know losing mine will be a crippling blow.
This is the worst time of year for many of us. Keep hanging in there, don't let the now dominate your future!
The fact that you mentioned your cat and said that his loss would be a crippling blow tells me right away that you DO have a will to live and go on. I mean, if you eventually intend to go through the sorrow of losing your cat; then you know you will go on. Am I right or wrong?
Also, you cat needs you; he will always need you and could you ever really abandon him. This soul should give you a wonderful reason and joy to live in itself. That's your joy right now. Let him help you.
