Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

i don’t know how to grow a support group around me and I’m struggling hard. I have no family and my husband is my best friend along with his sister... which sucks a lot because when I’m down about the usual everyday marriage life- I have no one to turn to. To vent to. And so I catastrophise everything and my anger builds and bubbles inside me. We have two beautiful young girls and lately I feel very exhausted and lathargic with them because of the way I’m feeling inside. I have tried exercising and eating well and everything for brain power but it’s bigger then that, it’s continuous and every time I hit this plateau I feel like it gets worst.
please someone help me

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
But that is me. . .
Gentle support while you find what works for you.
Gentle hugs
We are all here for the same reasons.
Your anger and emotional exhaustion seem to indicate a bigger problem may be developing like depression. To build up anger, bottling it up, is a recipe for disaster.
No his sister doesn’t live with us at all- I don’t think I could deal with that lol
I like the idea of writing the angry letters, and I know I am on the verge of depression myself. Sometimes I feel like I’m only barely keeping my head above water but my husbands depression has been around for years and at times it is very consuming. Last year was a terrible year and he was hospitalised after having a seizure from the stress of things. We have gone through a lot. We always come out on top but I guess I’m just trying to do it with as little damage to us both (and the kids of course) as possible.
Today is a brand new day, it’s our wedding anniversary actually and it’s amazing how a little reflection can have a positive impact on your feelings.....
Thanks so much everyone
