Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Exercise, big time, but it\'s easy to neglect it because you already feel like sh*t. But it elevates my mood and makes me feel like less of a slug. Good for my self-esteem.
Journaling. It helps a little big and sometimes that\'s all I can hope for.
Friends or loved ones. I don\'t have a wide support group, but the few friends I have are very dear to me.
Antidepressants. These have saved my life on more than one occasion. Better living through chemistry. I need to get back on them.
Avoiding alcohol or drugs. It just makes everything worse.
Animals and the outdoors.
