Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Perhaps you could set up a schedule of DS posters who are willing to volunteer to keep an eye on the crisis room, and alert DS staff if intervention is needed.
I know there are several people who can be counted on to help whenever anyone is in need (which is every single day)
Thanks for all your efforts
can i have the DS shirt too??
:P
yes, I think all of those are a great idea but the -IN CRISIS- thing may give some needy (even greedy) people an oppurtunity to over abuse the boards. But, you don't know until you try so I guess we will have to wait and see and if it doesn't work out then you can always try something else I guess.
I appreciate all you are trying to do. I have been looking for an old thread. I have had to go through the board and all the categories to try to find it. I want to know where my friends are, they are hopping around. I can't see their posts unless I look in every category. By the time I find them, they have moved on to somewhere else. I need eyes in my derriere.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope I have posted in the right thread. You may have put a different oine in 'off topic' for all I know.
Getting the picture?
Carol.
{I do love you, I don't like what you are doing}
Rather than just the ignore feature..they have that also..
they have a feature whereby someone can delete a post that doesn't concern them. It gives someone who is easily triggered an opportunity to not look at it, plus be able to sort through more easily on busy days and find the posts that most apply to them.
Just pass by this if it's too much, but when you asked, that's what came to mind. Thanks.
