Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
there are plenty of people here who only help othere, and ask nothing back.
By the way,
Its Aberdeen 1, B.Munich 1 at half time. lol
Personally, I hate the isolation of the new existing groups, I want to be able to have fun and watch for help topics.
I don't want to be in one place and then keep hopping in and out to see what is happening or what is urgent.
Thanks for what you are trying to acheive.
Can we have a 'naughty room'?

A depressed mood, which most people experience at some time in their lives, and major depression, which is a completely different monster, and often misunderstood by friends and family who don't understand or know about the difference.
That makes it very frustrating for those who happen to have major depression, because the usual antidotes for a depressed mood, don't work.
Maybe an area of discussion and resources to help know about and find out the difference.
"Crisis area" -- I thinnk you are right....most people would try to go there, but I, for one, would not want to spend my time there entirely, and if I went there to see what was going on, I would almost certainly get carried away. I also think it could turn into a monster if many people found out about it, because ironically, these boards seem to be a "safe" alternative to asking for help from the usual sources. The problem is, though, that most people on here are not equipped to be able to effectively help someone in an emotional crisis.
I think one of the greatest ongoing problems is, that of offensive language and that of people attacking one another.
I don't know what to do about that, either, because I enjoy the freedom of expression here, and also see the need for some people who are repulsed by graphic words and/or photos, to not be exposed to it when they are here for support.
Also, keeping a balance of tolerance for those who need to vent, for recognizing that those in the depression group (as well as the bipolar group) are not likely to be in the greatest of moods sometimes.
And giving the space for those to vent and squabble who need to, as well as keeping the due respect for others intact.
i hate having them up when anyone can see them--- plz enable us to lock them like we can with journals
And the neon green banner thing that could be a different color as we spoke this morning.
I think it;s great you ask of our opinion. Your the best!.
