Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I do not do that and have not daily showered for years now....I also used to not really use very much soap when showering but I would address the hair with shampoo and take that to underarms and privates as well....then I decided I wanted to use a soap more I did have soap bars and I would use them sometimes...but getting a antibacterial soft soap body wash helped me be a little better at the cleaning up of course...but still not daily....I sometimes absolutely must shower because of a but that does not wipe clean always...and the other end of that is the discusting smell that I get if I do not keep my underarms and my crotch clean....
I am thinking it might be one that I would break but to make a new years resolution to take a daily morning shower....yikes that is scary....but if I can do it then maybe you can too if your in my same boat and want to improve the hygien?? I challenge you to try! Hugs bill

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I tend to avoid bathing and self care in general when the depression gets bad but I do feel much better if I can get up and get some exercise and a shower. What is it about bathing that you don't like?
Nowadays I shower daily for work and in the weekend really can't be bothered - but do it anyway because being smelly makes your sheets smelly. Plus my hair looks terrible until I've rinsed it and put product in it. So if I want to see another human being, I really need that shower.
Showering is funny. You don't want to bother, but once you're under that water it's wonderful. And then you can't get out. :D If you can find a moment in time when it's easy to get in the shower, that's always good. For me, if I jump straight in after I get out of bed and after I put the kettle on, then it's easy. If I have that coffee first, and I'm not going anywhere, then suddenly time slides and I don't get it done till 2pm.
That sucks! I tried but went to bed thursday no shower and again friday too
