For the holidays??????????... Did you smile at anyone that you did not know? Did you wish people Merry Christmas that you did not know?
Did you give any suprise gifts or do any volunteer work? Let us know what you might have done to give some joy this year...
Im going to do a little bragging here cause I can.. I am no way rich or have money to really blow but my home is paid for and my kids and grandchildren are taken care of..
Mine and Als familys did not give each other Christmas again this year but donated to 3 poor familys as we have been doing for the last four years. Then for a little bit of fun, I took $200 out of my Christmas bonus and my SIL and I went to Walmart and strolled up and down the aisles outside in the truck and handed people who looked in need $50 for their family.. The first man and family turned our generosity down saying that others were in much more need.. The second family was afraid of us and ran into the store (roflmfao)... The Third guy was the bell ringer for Salvation Army, he blessed us.. The next was a man in ragedy clothes pushing the carts in, he did not work there and he just about pooped his self.. We put $15 into the Salvation Army pail as I have done many times these last few years.
We left and went to the *Deseret Industries* which is a place for familys to shop for used items that cant afford new items.. It was pretty slow there so we waited for the perfect family.. A man and his wife and three little children approached the doors and we called him over.. He could not believe someone was handing out money.. His wife, with tears in her eyes gave us *thumbs up* and the kids yelled, *Merry Christmas*.... Best Christmas I have ever had...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I made a lot of preserves during the summer so I made pretty fabric lids labelled them all up - put them in nice gift boxes with home made mince pies and shortbread and gave them to several people who were not expecting them
I got a take out gingerbread latte and with a bag of dog food for his dog gave them to a homeless person
i held open doors
i smiled and said `merry christmas'
i try, even though inside i could give a rat's @$$ about christmas. it's nice to get time off though.
i bought a coffee for my coworker, and brought everyone cookies in to work. Had all my coworkers over to my place earlier in the month for drinks and to relax.
I helped an old lady reach something when out grocery shopping. I held open doors for people that didnt expect it. I try to be good year round. :)
I wish you all a good and peaceful New Year.. We could all use that... I have given up on the happiness wish... lmfao.. so just some peace of mind is good for me....

I donated to a mom with a special need daughter. It made me feel great to help her and her daughter.

I invited some lonely and poor people over for Christmas dinner. I cooked and cleaned for six people. It was exhausting! But the food turned out to be delicious, and I will probably do it next year.
i didn't do too much myself tbh. took our girl scout troop carolling to senior center. but have been less depressed this year. you are an angel to keep your spirits about you considering all you have been dealing with. hugs sweetie.
I gave to the big red Salvation Army kettle many times, and tried my best to always wear a smile and offer a kind word.
Sounds like lots of very kind people did lots to help others this year! What a wonderful feeling.
