Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

My psychologist and psychiatrist are both prretty aware that I wan't to die... And in an attempt to "get rid of my negative thoughts" my psychologist asked me during the last appointment: "Why wanting to die if we don't know what lies ahead?"
Here is my honest answer:
So, assuming death is not just "absolute nothingness" (which is why I have chosen to believe), and there is actually a so called "heaven" and "hell", well... let's face it, I'm very likely going to hell anyways... Then, the only question left to be answered is: Would I rather endure hell here on Earth or deal with the one in the "afterlife"?
Same thing, it would just be different demons the ones haunting me this time, and external one, not the ones currently living inside me as they, just like me, would be long gone...
So yeah... different hell and different demons, nut hell is still hell no matter the shape and color. You are right, maybe I don't know what happens after we leave this world; but the only thing I know for certain is that I have tried it here, tasted it for so long and I didn't like it. So maybe it's time to try something new. I don't really care what that is anymore.
And if the end is in fact the end? Well, finally the escape and freedom I've been looking and waiting for.
If you are suicidal... what are your whoughts on this?
Ps. Please avoid the preaching, I'm not religious. If you are, that's fine, but don't try to talk me into faith and God's mercy.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

I went from sadness to elation in 2 hours. I went from hell on earth to heaven on earth.
I still have my setup but if I had used it I never would have met this angel of mercy.. Life has a funny way of kicking you in the teeth when you are down but it will kick you in the butt just as fast.
AND THEN I PRAY THAT I WILL FEEL BETTER WITH HIS HELP.
ISNT THAT CONFUSING?

Really?
I don't think so.
i think you just don't know what else to do.
That's the thing though, about life. You don't know what to do today, but what about tomorrow? What if the answer showed up while you were 1/2 way down, having thrown yourself off that cliff?
What people tend to figure out when they don't kill themselves, is that they're glad they didn't. As they grow and learn more, they realise depression is 100% curable. And it's all a point of view issue.
Tell me more about this agony of living you endure. Name it exactly. Show me exactly how your life is not worth living.
You can't really help someone if you have no idea what they are going through. Because I have been through rape, abuse, PTSD, eating disorders, and depression, I can relate to others who are going through it. Those people need help, and I can help them.
You can't help anyone if you kill your body and are now confined to hell.
Pay attention to your journey. Pay attention to how it feels, how the brain patterns work, what makes it better, what makes it worse. These will be your weapons later on. You are a warrior. Carry on.
The problem with the Churches is that they placed too much emphasis on doctrine and not enough emphasis on salvation. As far as I'm concerned, Christianity was the right faith practiced by the wrong people.
Hang in there!
they say a soul will burn in hell. I don't what a soul is made of but it doesn't look solid. Then what would burn? I know some say it's psychological where you think you are burning but I would think you catch on afterwhile that's not real and you feel burning after that.
I heard pasters talking about mansions in heaven. I would think, "why would you need a mansion in heaven?" You don't need to sleep, eat, go to the bathroom or come in out of the rain when you get there."
My personal theory about the afterlife is that the soul leaves the body and what ever it's made of the particals scatter throughout the universe. Maybe they will join with other particals to become other things.
Ghosts, I think, are those that get trapped inbetween this plane of existance and the other.
To Heidi, I read your reply(#2). I've been suicidal on and off for years. I keep going for the same reason. I also have a 17 year old son that I know would be devistated if something bad happened to me. I also am not the greatest mom but I do the best I can.
Hugs! :)
