Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Hi Folks!
In the next few days well be releasing a brand new feature which Im VERY excited about; its called Community Leaders. Community Leaders will be members who will be here to help encourage positive member interaction, member involvement, and foster a sense of community at DailyStrength
Along with helping members obtain and receive positive support, Community Leaders will be greeting new members, finding emerging trends, offering advice to members who post discussion topics, and also helping us locate clear cases of abuse and spam.
Community Leaders will have a "CL" avatar badge, similar to the Team DS badge you see next my avatar. Were also exploring the development of new tools to help them with their administrative tasks. More to come on that soon!
To start things off, I am very pleased to announce ThePepperMan as our First Community Leader! Along with being an avid fan of the Harry Potter books, ThePepperMan has continually offered exemplary advice and support to other members on the site. So starting tomorrow night youll see the Community Leader badge next his peppery avatar!
I should note that while the Community Leader badge will be visible across the entire site, for now ThePepperman will focus on being a Community Leader for the Depression Support Group.
Were currently recruiting additional vibrant members such as ThePepperman for this role, and well be sure to notify you all when this happens. In the meantime, lets give ThePepperman a big high-five and congratulate him for taking on this new role.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I can't think of anyone better qualified, except me. On a good day, obviously. As long as you don't mind the swearing.I could do it! Me and LadyLen could do it, and move The Fword back to the main board, add "lick" to the hug options. Can I nominate winny to be the community tormentor? She'd be perfect. What about Iona as the community jester, and Jazzie as the community Mother......

Since this is a brand new feature, we want to take things slow to ensure that we do this right. Im sure it will go great though, because you all are what makes DailyStrength work!
As mentioned, were developing some tools to help the Community Leaders better perform their role, and well provide you with more of the details soon. We also would love to hear your ideas as to what type of tools and abilities you feel the Community Leaders should have
