Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hello,
It's been a while. I've been doing fine for the most part. But I have not been without some pain. Today I was floored with the news that my right knee has to be replaced. I'm still getting used to that news. But I'm going to take on this challenge. Depression could have a heyday with this. But I will fight it with every bit of power I have. I might get knocked around a little. But I will prevail. Depression can go straight back to Hell.

I can tell you that my grandfather had double knee replacement. The recovery took a little time but it was worth it for him. Keep depression on the sidelines. This is a good thing even though you don't see it today. I wish you a speedy recovery.

She is stiff and cant bend knee much, I am good to go. Very happy I hadsurgery but I slipped down mysteps on ice today and torked my knee that was replaced its sprained now I am back taking pain meds and icing it now

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ
