I dont know if any of you on here have had one, but i have in the last two weeks that i have been on DS recieved two chain letters to pass on. The latest one i recieved today threatened that if i didnt pass it on i would recieve 16 years bad luck. Up until this i have been feeling so much better since talking to my DS friends and now i just feel sick and wish i had never heard of this site. Eleven years of hell i have had and this is what i mean when i say that everytime i start to feel better someone kicks me hard. I have had this chain letter broken by a friend but it has hurt me big time. I thought this site was to bring people together to help each other. I have met so many lovely people who have become invaluable to me and my life before DS was non existant and i would hate to leave because of this and have deleted the person that sent it to me as a friend. I loved her too bits to and we really seemed to connect. Maybe i was right the first time, good friends dont exist. I am gutted. I hate chain letters.

They certainly aren't worth losing a friend over- I'm sure this person meant no harm.
And don't worry about the 16 years of bad luck, if it was the one with the zodiac signs, I ended up getting that one too, and according to it, I will have 5 years of bad luck. Just don't think it will happen, just call me an optimist!

I you only 'had" to send it to 2 people, and you only "had" 1 day to do it, and if "every body" did it, then by the end of the month there would be over 1 BILLION PEOPLE receiving the chain letter.
Then, in another 3 days, there would be over 8 BILLION PEOPLE receiving it. There are not that many people on the planet!
Then, if it kept going another week, on average EVERY PERSON would get about 200 of these on the 7th day.
Chain letters are crap. Pure, unadulterated crap. It does not matter if they are the ones that ask you to send money to the person at the top of the list, or prayers, or hugs, or what ever. They are crap.
I would love to live in a world with magic of the kind that can cause good things to happen if you only answer a letter from people you don't know.
Throw them away, return them to the sender, whatever you wish.
But they are all crap.
I HAVE SPENT MOST OF MY 56 YEARS BEING HURT BECAUSE OF MY DISFIGUREMENTS. I NENER, NEVER HURT OR TRY TO HURT ANYONE ON PURPOSE. KNOWING I CAUSED THIS LADY PAIN IS REALLY KILLING ME. I AM CONSIDERING LEAVING DS BECAUSE I DO NO NOT CAUSE ANY ONE MORE PAIN. I CAN ONLY SAY I AM DEEPLY SORRY

Unfortunately on the web chain emails are actually there to collect data for spammers and worse. Mainly after email addresses and I must say my spam has increased since joining here but that's normal.
Rule 1 with chain emals is DON'T OPEN THEM
Rule 2 is DELETE THEM
RULE 3 is to reply to the sender separetely just saying you don't trust chain emails but would be happy yo email separately. If you're not too angry.
Many people think these things are real and mean well and that's why they send them on. But the people who start them are "those people". The types you hate and don't want to meet.
Just do as above and forget the emoptions as they are all fake given who started them. If you lose a friend over it then they will find you are right in time.
It's disgusting but that's how life is, everywhere. Which is why I'm on this site, with depression. Because so many people are predators, bullies, greedy cheats and liars.
Never, ever send an email to an address you don't know. Or receive from such either.
So do we have one more chain letter killer among us now?!?!!!!
I think it was the same women who sent it to you.
I did not respond, the next day she sent an apology.
She was vary upset at the response she got from her friends on this site.
She meant no harm and did not realize it would turn people off in the way it did.
She was vary distraught that some of her friends deleted her from there friends list.
She is nothing but kind and sweet and has never sent anything in any way that would offend me.
People make mistakes, She said she made a mistake.
I stand bye her on this one.
I have read things on here that make my skin crawl.
This was not even close.
I think your post is going too far.
I think you should allow her to apologize to you for sending the chain.
I think this has upset her more than you.
