Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
If you have been in a bad power imbalance for 10 yrs it may seem like there's no solution to it that can allow you to keep your integrity. I put it to you that you don't know everything under the sun. You need to open your mind and learn more. If you don't want to leave the marriage, you need to learn how to function within it in such a way that things start to come right.
I'm sorry but you have to buy into the solution.
it's ok to vent tho. I know you're just venting but... you still need to get on board with an actual solution.
So I leave right and guess who isn't immune to her treatment? The babies/kids. So when she at mom house and mom has a melt down because she passed off depression to our 9 year old daughter who is very difficult due to moms life time condition. Or mom get new boyfriend and she tries so hard to hide her illness that she forgets about kids, let's another man hurt my babies.... Oh did I mention she has no family because her depression pushed them all away. Me and my fam has been her only support for years but in tern because we know the real her, she hates us. Only likes people who have no clue and people who never felt the affects of her low mood.
This happens on the news daily and mental illness is usually the cause and I will protect my babies from people who have foggy thoughts and react slow in danger. I love my kids more than yall feelings. Kids should always be first.
I listened to her listening to the voices in her head. It has lead us down a dark path of moving all time and not having any friends. Im done listening to other people and there voices. Im staying to save my kids.
Oh BTW I am now a cyborg so I can spot ill people a mile away now. A long time will do that to. When yall can deal with your loved one problems then you can judge
As to you having to give a depressed person everything they want: who the heck told you that?
Do what is right and fair. That's what you do. What is right and fair at all times. You don't give people everything they want unless it is right and fair for them to want it - ie it's coincidence. You do what's fair always, and then you stand there and take whatever comes back at you for it. And then you continue to do what is right and fair and you make the unfair person move. You don't move for the unfair person. That's you training them.
