Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I've been taking care of my mom for 12+ years as she is disabled. That being said, she can do a lot of things on her own. About 2 weeks she was sick and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks, the staff did not give her the proper medication she takes. Now she's back home and of course, back on the medication, and honestly... I haven't seen her this bad in a long time. She's so depressed that she has no appetite, she just lays on the couch all day long, cries and so nervous constantly. She is seeing her regular psychatrist on Wednesday - assuming she can even make it off the couch. Like I said, I help her but with her being this depressed - it's hard to do much of anything for her and I feel like she's just given up on everything. I already spoke to the company she goes to her her psychtristy and if she doesn't make the appointment on Wednesday... they are throwing her out of their system which is the LAST thing we need! I don't know what to do at this point. Part of me wants to let her do whatever she wants and try to back myself away from it but the other part of me wants to continue to get her to move -- even though she yells at me everytime for being bossy. I'm lost...

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
