Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

For those of you that missed my last post about Felix, I found him a couple days ago on his back biting and kicking a cactus with all four paws.
Now, just a couple of minutes ago, I woke up to my afternoon nap to him loving on me. He kept nuzzling my hand for me to pet him. So I do and i'm loving on him for about a minute when all of a sudden he decides to bite my hand as hard as possible. I of course stop thinking hes had enough, when he starts nuzzling my hand again. I go to pet him again, and once again he starts biting me, so I stop and say fuck it. Once again he starts rubbing my hand, appearing confused as to why I will no longer pet him.
He then runs to his food bowl, so apparently this biting thing is a sign for me to feed him. Except, I am all pissed off now, so I let the fucker starve. It's not like he didn't eat first thing this morning anyway and the bastard severely needs a diet.
By the way. I measured Felix's ass a week ago and HIS ASS IS 11 INCHES WIDE! Measure your cats butt and tell me if it even compares.
We have this gate up blocking the kitchen now because Oscar is always pissing in there and eating the garbage. Felix has managed to find a way to squeeze through to the other side, but can not squeeze his way back. So, the moron is constantly getting stuck in the kitchen and has to cry for us to retrieve him. This happens about 53672 times a day.
Now, we often get mice in the house, but this winter there appears o finally be none. Oscar has killed dozens of the bastards, but Felix? He ignores them. My hubby actually took live mouse once and placed it right in front of him. He did NOTHING. Now, I would like to point out that Felix was a stray that we found starving on the streets. No wonder the cat was starving. He can't even catch a mouse!
Actuary, he did catch a mouse once. There was a mouse crawling underneath my City Paper one day that he whacked. But, if he knew it was a mouse, I can assure you that he would have done nothing. Oscar actualy stole it from him and ate it. He on the other hand is a real cat.
Felix also has this habit of doing figure eights around people's legs when they are taking a piss. He has a VERY long tail that sticks straight up which is always getting in the urine stream, so he is constantly getting pissed on.
Oh, and he does this thing when he shits where he will not bury his turds. Instead, he will scrape at the sides and top of the litter box, but never at the actual cat litter. Sometimes, he will even take out a turd to scoot across the floor and play with.
DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE A MORON FOR A CAT?!

Ouch!
This is another thing Felix does. He claws at the mattress and pulls himself around the bed. One time, he fell asleep in this position. I woke up to him next to me on the floor with his body stiff and all four paws imbedded in the mattress. His tail was sticking out perfectly straight.
We have a leather chair at our computer desk, and when he was a kitten he had this habit of jumping onto the back of it while you were sitting in it and hanging on with all four paws. Used to scare the shit out of me.
Maybe he is sadistic?
He chases everything at full bore, so ends up running into table and chair legs all the time.
