Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Suzy- Isn't it funny how cats mock one another? My two are constantly picking up habits from the other. Still, Oscar remains smart enough to bury his own turds.
Donna- Reminds me of another thing Felix does. He always runs into the other room and starts meowing frantically. It is as if he wants you to follow him.
Felix also likes to sleep with his toys in his paws.
Bai- I don't have a dryer, but Oscar is CONSTANTLY trying to climb into the fridge.
Felix just fell asleep on my Kit-Kat bar and melted it.
Then inspiration. Meana found a giant ball of cat fur from one of Manny's furminator sessions. I was giant. She decided it would be a tasty snack. Obviously, I had to get it. So there's Meana running around the apartment with a giant piece of fur in her mouth and me trying to coax it away from her. I think I got it when she went under the bed. At least half of it was on the bedskirt. Kids.
I have a calico that is actually really smart. She answers the telephone. When it rings she will paw at it until it is knocked off of the base and quits ringing. She also turns off alarm clocks. When they start alarming she will paw at them until she hits the snooze button and make it turn off. She can open doors, dial the telephone. One day she turned on a cordless phone and hit redial by mistake (obviously) and called me at work and I could hear her meowing and breathing into the phone! She can be very annoying, though because when I'm trying to sleep and she wants in and out of the house she will go to the door and rattle the door knob to tell me she wants out. If I ignore her because I am sleeping she will start playing with papers or a plastic bag long enough to irritate the hell out of me until I get up and let her out. Then, when she wants back in she grabs the screen on the window with her claws and rattles it until I let her back in. This can go on multiple times through out the night to the point where no one gets ANY sleep at all!!
