Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Well I had mentioned earlier that I was trying to get back out there and start dating. I went to a speed dating event earlier this week which was really fun. I chose three people on the list that I might be interested in. None of them chose me back. I was really upset and disappointed and just felt like staying home the rest of the weekend. I wasn't a big deal if maybe one or even two were not interested, but three for three felt like a real strikeout. I was feeling a lot of self doubt and disappoinment after that. It happened the last time I went to one of the events last year. Some other people did choose me, but those people I only felt a connection on a friend level. Everyone was nice and I enjoyed it a lot, but there were only a few that I was interested in more romantically. With my 'friend' recently telling me to just give up and quit dating recently, I started to wonder if she had a point. I have to say it made me feel pretty bad all around between my bad luck with this and others' perceptions that I should throw in the towel. My confidence is shaky to begin with. Maybe I am just trying too hard. I seem to have better luck actually when I am being less intentional and focused about it, it seems to come together on it's own, at least that's my impression. I have other things going on in my life anyway, so maybe I will put my attention to that for a while.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Like Bill said, check on meetup.com for singles events. We have something here where it's a large dinner gathering in a restaurant, all with just singles. They even schedule it by age range.
Keep looking! You will find someone. It only takes one....
Do you get any feedback from the guys? None of them chose you, but did you get a look at the women who were chosen?
I just think speed dating with matches reeks of disappointment. Somebody won’t get picked or matched back.
A girl started talking to me, And right away, wanted to know if I wanted to call her.......That was the first day. Second day She started to ask if I wanted to get married in her temple (She was Jewish, Which I had no problem with)
The conversation was getting to intense. So, I blocker her.....to clingy.
Always, wanted to know what time I was gonna be on-line everyday.,
And came off as VERY desperate......Some people Are crazy..
