Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Even if it really was about them thinking you were ugly back then, they aren't worth your time and thoughts now. They were certainly not nice, and they were all just a big group of cowards.
It could be that you are a very beautiful lady without being too much aware of this, a lot of people who are goodlooking doesn't think they are. They might even struggle with very low self esteem. To learn accepting yourself for who you are and like the way you look can sometimes seem as a distant goal, it is when you can accept yourself and find what is beautiful about your appearance and personality that you will truly shine out! And others will be drawn towards you because of your inner confidence. Also something a lot of people appreciate and easily notice is when you are friendly and kind, this shines out stronger and brings on more natural and true beauty over you.
In a kindergarden I worked in then I remember one of the main leaders mentioning about one girl who was a very popular leader type. She said that this girl wasn't really very beautiful but she had a very strong character shining out which made other children attracted to her. Beauty doesn't always make people chose you as a friend or want to have you in their jobs, having a strong confidence and character will win much more in the long run.
There is always something of beauty in everyone, I do think all people have also something beautiful about them with their looks too. It is just to contemplate one self, point out what you like about yourself. Some have a really beautiful smile, some have a beautiful nose, beautiful neck, beautiful legs, beautiful eyes, beautiful hair, e.t.c... When you manage pointing out what parts you like about yourself, later you might get a much better full picture of yourself.
Not to mention how many beautiful women wish people would take them seriously instead of just brushing them off because their looks? Their is a flip side to beauty and that is the stereotype that anyone who is beautiful is not very bright and didn't earn their success. How many wish men would value them for them instead of their body?
On the flip side you have people who aren't considered beautiful that go on to lead successful lives and have happy marriages.
The point is beauty does not determine your lot in life or determine your worth. You do not need to be beautiful to be successful, live a fulfilled life, and find a good spouse. It doesn't hurt, but you don't need to be worked on from head to toe by professionals and airbrushed to hell like celebrities to lead a satisfying life.
Truth be told, your CRYING is what makes you beautiful! It shows that you have a tender heart, which is very, very beautiful. Of course, you'd like to LAUGH sometimes too!
