Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have seen many of you posting lately looking for support regarding the stress and anxiety of going back to school. It sucks. It's grueling, and seems overwhelming at times.
I just wanted to offer a few words of encouragement to all of you that I hope are reading this. I am posting in both anxiety and depression, so for those that are members of both I apologize for the over post but wanted to catch everyone.
As you think about how awful this time may seem, remember that someday, you will look back on this and be glad that you did this while you are young and not trying to go back to school and get a degree when you are almost 50, like me. It seemed overwhelming to me when I was young also, and I just couldn't make it financially. So, now here I am trying to better myself and get that degree in my later years.
I know it can seem so hard with all the pressure, and that can lead to depression. Studying is important, but be sure to also take care of yourself. Do a little something for yourself from time to time, no matter how small.
This is my little something that I do and it's a joke with my friends at work:
Whenever I start shopping on Amazon for the textbooks for the next semester, I started noticing that Amazon was telling me to "get a little something for myself" off my wish list. Well, If Amazon was telling me to do it, who am I to argue? LOL
Take care, all of you, this school year

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I am glad I went to college but the student loans would kill me....I am now getting them forgiven under disability status....I am glad about that too....
