Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
But, you seem like a strong person and that you'll pull through it. Give it some time and maybe he'll respond.
I overcame without meds so it can be done.
Sometimes there is no-one to listen to us, no-one to talk with, and we feel desperately alone--but we are never alone. There are holy angels all around us.
You are your own best friend so be good to you. Take your right hand and put it on your left shoulder and take your left hand and put it on your right shoulder. Now give yourself a BIG hug from you.
And then give yourself another BIG hug from all of us here at DS. We are all in this world together and we care.
You will get through this time. Sometimes talking outloud to yourself while looking in the mirror helps. Or journaling--so you can express your emotions and thoughts on paper which helps to not have to think about it all the time because it is written down so you can refer back to it anytime you want.
Things will get better!!
Echoing some of the members advice on your meds, might be good to have it check if it's helping you or not. Be well and take care. God bless!
