Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
My oldest sons half brother died over the weekend of a drug overdose. Both of my children have lost a sibling within a month. Very sad for both of them..
Drugs are taking over Utah here pretty bad in certain areas.. the drugs of choice are meth for women in their child bearing years and for most of the teens and older peeps its Oxycontin. When the Oxycontin gets to expensive and addictive to stop they carry on to heroin.. It seems like you see a young person every day in the paper that dies from drugs and thats just the Utah county paper.. Very very sad..
Im so happy that my kids have made it through without depending on drugs to get them through life.. It is just a horrible horrible thing these parents have to go through everyday wondering if their child will be next..
If anyone could send prayers to the Driggs family here in Utah.. My son Ryan, his father Lamar (in AZ) and Bo's mom Tina.. they are having a real hard time with Bo's death.. Thanks it is appreciated..

Very glad to send prayers to comfort the family!! Drugs are a horrible reality everywhere nowdays. So awful.
I'm active in a youth organization. I know that some kids have avoided drugs because of what my friends and I do. I also know that we have not been able to help others.
If anybody reading this thread wonders what they can do to help combat drug abuse, I would say be open to young people. Learn their names and what they are into. Get involved, especially if you share that interest!
