Am I using the smartphone too much?

Hello, I have dark circles around the eyes for quite some years now. And it never goes completely away. Is it because I watch YouTube and surf the internet on my smartphone for too long? Or is this just my daily anxiety doing its work? Whatever it is, it should be about time now to remove this problem. Does anyone know how to remove dark circles around the eyes?

I started my psychotherapy way back when I was still smarter than my phone on my dumbest of days. I was a voracious reader and continually reading something, everything and anything. The link between my anxiety and the vast amounts of random information I was taking in was one of my early psychotheraputed discoveries. Taking media fasts (refraining from reading) made a HUGE diff in my anxiety levels, as well as being more discerning in what I poured into my brain.

My strictly personal senses tell me that is even more important now that the WWW and mainstream saturation has amplified my media intake to multi-media formats which follow me wherever I go. Sensory overload on high. . .

I'm not ready to "give it up," but frequent breaks balance the intake.

Not to fully disqualify what argue has said but you can restrict yourself from media that is not beneficial and find some that is. Just like you found this site. I need social contact but prefer quality contact. Free discussion of ones problems here is unusual in the total spectrum of the net. We are fortunate that we have places like this. Reading continues to be an escape for me as it is an excepted form of retreat from the world and it has its place. Use this site and find other ways to give yourself a time out.

I dunno, I was blessed with hereditary dark circles and have had them most of my life. I just throw glitter on 'em lol.

But yeah, taking frequent breaks from looking at screens would probably only help. If you want to read, read a real book, etc. I hear that looking at screens can interfere with quality sleep and the like. Try unplugging completely an hour or so before bed.

Well i actually started reading books out of my own free will 1 and a half year ago. Guess I should take better breaks from looking at screens.
What I noticed though, in school the dark circles are a lot stronger in think, so maybe it really is the anxiety. Because there my anxiety is the biggest.
I think I will go to mallorca (=little scrrentime) with my parents in the holidays and then I will see if it gets better! Thank you all.

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!
