Am I insane?

so I’ve suffered childhood traumas. I work in a max sec prison, worst people in the world. I get as salted almost daily.   So on and so on. That list is endless. My wife suffers from ptsd and all kinds of other things to. Just started to connect with my father when he died on Xmas 3 yrs ago. So I’ve been depressed, distant to my wife and kids uncaring and unaffectionate.  Now she’s leaving Arizona and moving to Alaska. Been “separated” for two months now in the same home. First time in my life I’ve been able to start getting professional help. I’m different and changing everyday for the better. I’m actually supporting her move in every way I can. Even though she’s made it clear she’s no longer in love with me. In all likelihood I’ll get served with divorce papers after she meets the 90 day or 6 month residency terms for Alaska. Yet I’m so helplessly in love with her and all I want is to support what she feels she needs.  So. Am I insane???

Your doing what you feel us best, for her because you care.

You could throw a fit, not give a dang or walk away.
But you care, and your handling this in a mature way. And in a caring way.
I'm sure your a good man.

Are your kids going with her? If so.... I feel sorry that they will be so far away.

Your doing the right thing. Fighting, being mean, anything like that. Would not make her stay.

You sound like your head is straight and its good your getting Professional help.

I am sorry for your pain. This is not easy. And I be heartbroken over not seeing kids. I am also in AZ. Just stay strong. You sound caring so i agree on that.

I could be wrong here but if she's getting 'yeah, go, go! I support you completely' then a part of her may be interpreting this as: 'he doesn't love me.' If there is still a part of her that loves you, that is. If she wants to go; of course, there is no forcing her to stay. Time will tell wheher it's going to be a final (divorce) breakup or whether you'll get back together again. I hope it's the latter because you seem to love her greatly.

People think they’re insane when problems pile up on them and they feel like drowning, not even knowing where to start. You have a lot going on in your plate and that heavy load can make you numb. It is good that you are getting professional help. They can tell you what is going on with you. But I sense that you are as sane as any other guy, just burdened with so many problems, and as the replies here said, you seem level headed. Now about your problems, there are some things in life that you just have to accept because there is nothing more you can do. You can hope but you need to take care of yourself and moving on is sometimes a good start. But sometimes bad things that happen to you reorganizes your life and makes room for good things and possibilities in the future.
