Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

When your suicidal, and you have emotions and traumatic feelings and depression that takes over your brain and body like ink just slowly replacing all that was you....then there comes 1 of 2 points. Either your dead, or you get uncomfortable and you get help, so that you don't get dead.
Therapy, be it singular or group is never comfortable, having someone dig around in the innermost parts of your mind where you keep all the secrets all the terrible things that you never wanted anyone to know about, is never comfortable. And that's the point. Being uncomfortable, having to address, deal with and face those things, having to stand up to your un-comfortableness and say, "Screw you, I'm here, I want to get better and I'm doing this" is the point of Therapy programs.
Otherwise you would just sit in your house, with the blinds drawn, the doors locked and never let anyone in, and never let anyone help you out of the Mental Trap that you're in.
It takes strength, that you'll say you don't have, but girl you'll be amazed at the strength you can find in yourself when put to the test. It takes hard work. And where you are, where you think your with 12 "strangers" your actually with 12 people who probably feel so close to the way you do on a daily basis it would surprise you that you could have so much in common with a stranger.
So take deep breaths, learn some tricks to help you relax and stay where you belong and learn how to deal with, adjust to and Live Life....anyone can give up, its the ones who stay and fight that are the strong, smart teachable ones.
Its not about being a people person, its about being a "I want to learn how to want to live person."
Take care,
Kat
And try to embrace it rather than avoid it.
I believe it'll be worth it for you. You might learn a lot about yourself and how you're processing your emotions. I know it's hard to open up, but sometimes other people's perspectives can help us understand the ways in which our own are flawed and need work.
You are doing the right thing. Please see that you're doing something valuable by investing this time in yourself and your mental health. Your process is your own, but it sounds like you're off to a good start.
Take care of yourself. We're always here for support.
I will add one more thing. Please, Please, Please, feel free to ignore me if you do not like my troubles. I did think this was a safe site to share on. I am very sorry if I do or have offended any one.
But I, " "
"do not like to be made to feel like I was wrong for posting, or being made to feel that I am being, all of myself"
"again so sorry"
I thought I was doing something good for myself on here, trying to pour out to others., "strangers"!
