Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

You have to make your parents hear you, talk to your Guidance Counselor very honestly, go to the Principal if the Counselor is making inappropriate comments about you being on meds your whole life, that is not her decision, nor is it her job to make those calls. She's not in your body and does not know what you're going through. If it gets too bad or drastic, take yourself to the ER for a safety healthcare check, when they call your parents in, have the Dr. or Nurse help explain how you're feeling and why you need both a Psychiatrist out patient and your medications. Sometimes if they don't listen you have to make them. You and your mental health are very important, the most important thing for you to focus on right now, you're doing your part, make them do theirs.
If they still don't listen, there is a Social Worker at the Hospital and its their job to help families make the right decisions together for care. Don't just drop this and get back to a place of harming yourself. This is not about letting friends and family down, its about You staying SAFE.
Hang in, you can do this,

Meds do not have to be forever, no. But if they can help you now then that is good. The right amount of counseling (and the right counselor, btw), can help guide you safely through this process. And you deserve the support of your family. Fight for yourself.
