Last night I found out my grandpa committed suicide by hanging himself, having said to my cousin not 3 days ago that he was sick of this world. A fellow soldier fighting the same fight along side me and I never even knew, I guess he knew how to mask his pain as well as I. My heart has an even bigger hole in it today, knowing the one of the men in my life who always made you feel welcome and always happy to see you wont be there anymore. I'm sorry I couldn't see it, couldn't see you for how you really were. Prayers and hugs would be great as we say goodbye to another fallen soldier in the fight against depression. Thanks.

My most sincere condolences! My grandfather committed suicide before I was born,and my Dad found him a year later in a tree,so we got to hear about that every time he was drunk! It would have been nice to have a chance to get to know him! Just be thankful for the time you did have with him!

sorry for your loss. It is so hard to loose anyone we love, but this way leaves so many questions unanswered, and and so hard for those left behind. I lost a good friend in Jan, to suicide, and I got his last phone call. Talking to a counselor may help. I needed to. Hugs and prayers to you and family .
