I'M so sorry about your grandfather. I think all of us with depression wear the "mask", if people knew how miserable we were, nobody would talk to us. I'M one of those people that thinks about suicide, but could never do it for personal reasons. I still can never say never, because I have no idea what the future has in store for me. I was really close to my grand father and miss him very much. My parents are next and I have no clue how I will deal with those losses! (((Hugs))) Sly

I lost my brother to suicide 4 years ago and he would have been 40 years old last month. It was very devastating to both my family and myself. My parents died a year later from broken hearts do to what my brother did. :(

It is very hard on family and everyone is always asking the question why and what could I have done to help . :(

Hey Harley, I want to offer some opinions to which I have gone through myself and they have really helped and opened my eyes to let me see who I am.(it's just me, myself and I) First you don't have to continue to go out and be social so everyone doesn't know there is something wrong, that's just hurting you more-more secrets you have to keep. No I say YOU pick the time and place you want to go out and if your support group is just that, they'll follow and you will have a good night instead of going somewhere and putting up a facade (fake face and act). I noticed that your Grandpa had passed away and I am so very sorry. Were you close? Would you like to tell me some stories about the two of you? Maybe the time he rescued you from the twister in Oklahoma? (Sorry Wizard of OZ moment, haha). I would to hear from you. Be well and it's okay to cry.. Joe

I am very sorry for your loss. I love how you refer to us as all soldiers. You are right depression is warfare. Some days the battles can feel like the end. Take care of yourself! Praying for the strength you need to keep going.
