Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
My kids and I have become so much closer, we talk a lot more. I know it may not seem like it, but you have a lot by having the kids, and they have so very much more by having a mom who loves them so much. So many kids don't even have that, they are wards of the state or runaways. So in that they and you are so very rich in the love you have for each other.
The kids and I have the "traditional Thanksgiving waffle" now as we call it. We go to the Waffle House and have a plain meal, but the conversation is great, and we talk to the people working. After, we leave a rather gracious tip for the server as a holiday gift, it has become a family tradition. It is also something the kids really remember now that they are older.
Best of luck, if you ever need to chat with another single mom, alone, just let me know.
My point being, just because one has the family, does not mean they are happy or normal.
