Had to find a new doctor because mine fell ill and is not practicing until further notice.
So I was able to go in with a place where I had to see a therapist 2x before seeing the doctor. Haven't seen the doc yet. All ready the therapist is talking about changing my medicine because the Zoloft does not get rid of my depression 100 %.
The problem is I have tried just about every antidepressant out there and Zoloft has been the most effective with no side effects. No it does not take away the depression 100 % but neither do the other meds.
I don't want to switch. I have done this dance before and it just screws me . up more. #1. It costs $ to try new drugs, #2 it doesn't work for me.#3 I end up in worse condition then when I started.
I have dealt with depression since I was 12....I am 53 now. There is no magic pill. My mother dealt with it too for almost her whole life and the same results. There is no magic pill. It takes work, education, and practice at overcoming these problems.
I am not real happy right now about having to switch doctors but I am especially unhappy that they want to go for a roller coaster ride with my emotions and life.
Thanks for listening

Everyday I feel more and more sick. Being in pain every day, I've learned to disguise it. So well that others don't believe my pain when I speak of it. Needing help but only receiving negative responses, I find my way but pay for it later. I absolutely need the rest but there's pressing things to be done.

Ugh my depression is really being triggered by the grief of losing my mom. Ugh it sucks. I wish this pain would leave me already.

I don't have the money nor the time to experiment at this point. Only you know how you feel and if it is an acceptable level of normalcy. I wish you much luck and a good outcome.
A simple explanation may work and may open a conversation about where the new doctor is coming from. And who knows, he may actually find a treatment that works better for you.
