That's really a lot to have going on, I know I'd be overwhelmed in those circumstances too. Try not to let your partners parents attitudes get you down, there are a lot of people out there who just don't understand mental health. It sounds to me that even though you're in difficult circumstances you're trying to do some positive things (with getting help through the connexions program). I think it would be good to pursue their suggestion of seeing a dr there. Don't worry about saying things perfectly, just go and tell them what you said here. You could even print this out and give it to him for a starting point. Is your partner supportive of you getting help? Are your parents supportive (I know they're 2 hours away though) ((hugs)) hang in there hun, things can get so much better for you!

My partner is supportive of me getting help, she often accompanied me to appointments when i lived in my hometown. But again, with just moving she's busy with other things. It was her 21st birthday yesterday, and she recently started work here, night shift which is midnight-8am.

And there's only my mum around (my dad died when i was 13) but i can't open up to her and then she tries forcing me and it only makes us grow further apart.

So really the only person i've ever been able to open up to (even then i wasn't fully open) is my partner.

I'm really glad that your partner is supportive! It's good that you've chosen someone who accepts you and loves you for who you are! Sorry about your father! That's so young to lose him. I really hope you can find a therapist there that you can fully open up to. I think that would really help, it's so hard to deal with depression without fully opening up. I know I did that for a long time, and when I finally did open up it really helped.
