Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
We need and want you on this forum.
Peace.
Keep us posted as many of us have walked that same journey and CARE.
You are NOT ALONE and we do CARE.
Gentle ((hugs))

Suicide is the end, no more worries, no more decisions, nothing, a land of nothing, no thoughts, no smiles, no favorite foods, just hard times ahead, unless something good happens. I don't know your story..only know mine, and I think it wouldn't be a bad idea for me also...My husb walked out on me after 40 years....I am dead already. I hired an attorney, and am sorry I did, the stress of him is just too much on me.
He took my FINAnciL documents and said I would have it back in a few days, 3 weeks ago, and still waiting, I just may fire him.
I won't trust another person again, I promise you.
But if you do yourself in, it is the very end. The end, no more coming back.
My friend Suzie stopped taking her diabetes pills and died. I could have save her...But I didn't call 911. I visited her grave, and broke down. I loved her. I didn't call 911 because the sob I married told me not to....her mom found her the nexdt day....
if you are doing yourself in, make sure your animals (if you have any) will have a home, or they will prob be put down...people like to adopt puppies and kittys, and make sure you know where your assets (if any) will go.
I am not like the others here. I think people should be able to make their own decisions, whethe to live or not live.
But for me, at least I will not starve, there are food pantries, and the church gives free m eals 2x a week, and the club I belong to, sells a big meal for $2.00 per meal.
I worry about my animals though. husb won't take them, and even if he did, they wouldn't live long. he is in his own world.
whether to live or die, that is the question only the individual can make.
I AM going to talk to the priest tomorrow. myself, I am all broken inside. I worked hard for what I have, and husb is throwing it all away.
I do not know your story...they say there are resources out there, but truthfully, they stink. The police have actually come to my home dor domestic abuse, and then threaten to assest me, because husb they believe him, and want me to come. The stupid iodit police are another matter.
I cannot tell you what to do, but think it really thru. You will not be here tomorrow. I Am not a person, that will tell you, the sun will rise tomorrow with a smile. chanches are it will be the same cloudy day.
but think if there is just one thing you may do to change your situation. There may be just one thing you can possibly think of.
All you need is one....

Moment by moment and step by step and over time sharing as we work out the issues we face and life continues.
Let us know how you are doing as we care.
I journal as my one therapy and it is our shared support here at DS that has allowed me to find the will to hang on to what life I have to live.
I cope with a medical crisis that seems determined to end my life without much thought.
Perhaps if you could share more to help those of us wanting to support you to understand what it is you are coping with it may help us all in some way. Many of us that offer our support are in crisis ourselves and it is in our shared support that we often discover the strength that is needed to survive.
((hugs)) shared.
