Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
However, if you open up a little bit here maybe we can help you to find some reasons to live (even if only simple things to start),
You are in control as far as what you do, but sometimes our thinking becomes illogical when we are depressed. There are times when I long for someone to step in to my life and manage my problems fo me, but so far I haven't found anyone!
I see so many people, here who have stepped up to the plate to try to help. I hope that this shows you that this is a loving community and that there are people who care. Otherwise they would not have taken the time to post and read. Please feel free pm me.
Love and Peace be with you at this most difficult time.

I agee...suicde is a personal choice. You do have the right, and it is a personal decision. I would never judge others for what they choose to do with their life.
I want you to know...
children of suicidal parents are more likely to attempt or commit suicide themselves.

If you are going to a priest, the catholic religion does not accept suicide. So if you are truley catholic, the ramifications will not end with death. In fact they will have just begun.
I too was married for many years. My divorce was neither wanted nor expected. But after time I realized that being with such a selfish bastard was what was holding my life back, not making it whole. He pulled so much from me I lost myself so badly, that when it was over I felt as if I had been ripped apart. But I was not, the cancer (him) was removed and I was allowed to find myself again.
I suggest....
You look deep into your heart. If you posted this here without knowing it, it appears you have made a call for help, which means you may not be so sure about doing this.
I have found a great way to feel needed is to volunteer at a shelter, or even the food bank that you get your food from, they always need help and it is a great way to give back to the community and show yourself that you are needed.
I wish you the best of luck in your journey, whatever it may be. I wish you the gift of sight, to see that what you do exteneds to your child and more people than you may know. I wish you light to shine onto your tomorrow so you may see your true path, and not just a black abyss.
Live, learn, love, laungh, you will never regret any of these actions.
I'm here to listen if you're willing to lay your story on the line, I care.
Again, check all options. You don't want to be making an error here.
You don't tell us what is going on with you but it's obvious you've been in pain for quite a while.
Are you on meds? Do you have a therapist? What kind of self-care have you been practicing? Do you have any family or friends? What is you support system like?
Suicide is permanent. The decision should never be made in a bad state of mind. You reached out here, not once, but several times. How can we help?
