Hey guys! I am a 30 year old male, gained a lot of weight over the past year, suffered an ACL tear to which I have NOT had the surgery yet (injury about a month or two before my first DVT). Around 4 months ago, I felt a cramp (not the ACL leg) as I got up from a 2-3 hour Hookah session, which turned out to be a DVT (no swelling or redness, just the pain, which I got checked out 2 days later). I’ve been on Xalerto ever since. My doctor says that it is a small clot in a “secondary” vein (not sure what that means), he sais that everything looks good and there is nothing to seriously be concerned about on the long run. He seems fairly certain that my DVT is a result of the relative inactivity I’ve had over the past year, which increased after my ACL tear (no surgery yet). 4-5 months into medication, the small clot is still there! No swelling, pain comes and goes, mostly when I walk a lot but nothing extreme. He sais it’s weird that nothing has changed and the clot hasn’t dissolved but still not an alarming sign, and said that I should continue taking Xalerto for another couple of months only, then continue with aspirins indefinitely (regardless of ultrasound results).

i just get the feeling that he is taking matters a bit lightly, even though he is a good doctor. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance!
