Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
Pumping my foot and feeling better. Coincidence?
Margr
Okay, I'm a little bit excited about something. Preface: I can count on two fingers the number of days I've felt even a little bit good in the last month, and one of them is today. (I'm 4.5 months out from DVT the full length of my leg). Last night it felt good to pump my foot (flex, point, repeat), so I did so, constantly, while seated in the car, for 45 minutes. It felt good to do today, too; and I've kept it up the entire time I've been seated at my full-time, sit-down job. It's actually easier than it sounds. AND what I'm noticing is that the "heaviness" is much relieved today, the leg pain is radically reduced, and I feel less generally weak and knackered. It could be a coincidence. But doesn't it make sense that if one is steadily providing assistance in getting the blood to head "north," it's probably going to help? Any thoughts? Anyone had this experience?

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
