Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.

Haven't been here for a while but I'm so grateful for your wisdom around DVTs.
I fell hard on my right knee last week - the same leg that has my DVT (femoral ankle to pelvis, post-surgery). Now my calf is very sore whenever I'm on it. I don't see how the fall could have done anything to the DVT but I'm starting to get worried - pain for more than a week now, very aching.
Any experience with this?
Thanks.

Hi, maybe you pulled a muscle when you fell. Think it's hard to say though. Maybe check in with your doc. To put your mind at ease.

If it is keeping you up at night with worry, I'd check in with the doc. A co-pay is worth it for the peace of mind.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
