Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
I have several cysts on my thyroid and while my thyroid numbers are perfect, I have all the physical symptoms of a whacked out thyroid.
Anyway, I tried pinning my hematologist down on this matter. At first he said clots may be related to thyroid issues, but then he sort of back pedaled a bit. I have an appt with a new endocrinologist next month for a second opinion on my thyroid and I'm going to try to pin him down on this topic too.
There may be a thread (I may have even started it) on this topic in the Pulmonary Embolism community.
