Don't know about the composition of the drug, but I reckon having a clot is quite sufficient to put your BP up!!
Add to that the fact that pain elevates it, as does stress.......
Mine used to be really low, but is now the high end of normal and I'm coping taking diuretics, which cause it to lower, without getting too dizzy.

Very doubtful. I presume you're taking roughly 5 - 10 mg of Warfarin Sodium per day. You are getting some Sodium intake from it, but its probably only about 1-2 mg of total sodium. I think the RDA for sodium is upwards of 1200 mg or something like that.

I checked on the real numbers - if you're taking 10 mg of Warfarin per day, you are getting ~1 mg of Sodium intake from it. The USRDA for sodium is less than 2400 mg.

You can also check with your Pharmacist to see if a side affect of warfarin increased blood pressure.

Thanks Everyone: I think its just been stress. Went to the Cardiologist today for a check-up. He does not think its Gallbladder or Warfarin related. He is pretty sure its a heart problem. I will be going for a ECHO and a Nuclear Stress Test Next week. I cannot believe all that is going on. Actually the leg swelling has gone down, I can still see a little bit. The leg still hurts at times. I am just so stressed out, and for my dose on Warfarin its 6 mg. and some nights only 3 mg. I have to go next week for my blood test to see how my numbers are holding.
Right now I need prayer more than any of these drugs. My BP was 139/100 today at the doctors office.

To RMB: I was just searching around, and saw you had posted on the Gallstone board. Did you get your Gallbladder out. I have been reading everything I can find for the symptoms I am having. Tonight not long after I ate, I had the pain in the back with little discomfort in the stomach.
This is what has been happening that is causing me to go for all this testing. These attacks do not last long, and so many people describe the Gallbladder like what I am having. I guess going for all the heart related tests first is a good move. I do not think its my Warfarin causing this. Its just all so confusing, and I want to get to the real issue.

I did. I had it removed a couple of weeks ago. I'd been having pain under my right rib, my right shoulder and my upper right side of my back. I'd also been nausea and had a lot of lower back pain too. I bothered me all the time, not just when I ate. I have GI issues anyway, so I wasn't sure if it was my ulcerative colitis acting up or what, but when I went to see my GI doc and he palpitated the right side of my abdomen, I almost went through the roof because of pain. I'm usually pretty tough when it comes to pain so my doc was like, that isn't good. So, he ordered an ultrasound to check for gall stones, and look at my liver, pancreas etc, and it all came back normal. I then had what's called a HIDA scan to check for how well my gallbladder performs, and that's what determined that my gallbladder doesn't function at all. So, that's why I had to have it removed.

I might have posted my information under another subject, but I was tol by the Cardiologist to cancel the Gallbladder ultrasound until I had some heart tests. I guess the tests next week will give me a better picture of what to do next.
I am getting so fed up with all of this. Did not have any of these problems, until they found my DVT. Between the Arthritis in my left knee, and the clot in the right leg. I am in pain no matter what I do.
