Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
Gracias for being there, you sweet strangers

I am the mother of a 19 years old young man who had a dvt after a basketball injury in his knee. He is almost one year and a half after it and doing very well. He doesnt take any medication or wear his compression stokings anymore and he has no sweling or pain, just a very little red skin sometimes when he stands for a long time.
I dont come here as often as I used to. But I wanted to say two things:
. one, for the new dvt club members: I believ now that things can improve with time: last year I never thought that my son would be better today, like he is now. I dont know what is going to happen in the future, but he is swimming righ now with his friends like if nothing happened.
. two: gracias. You helped me and my family like nobody could have done. You knew what I was talking about. I found a lot of information and advice here. And emotional support from strangers living so far away from us, that sometimes I didnt find in the people around.
Even if my son is doing better, I will come from time to time when I have doubts or just to read how you are doing. I like very much some of you already and I will miss you, if I can (hopefully) stop coming here one day.
Muchas gracias. You are great and I wish you all the luck in the world.
Happy summer and hugs for all of you from Madrid,

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
