DVT and PE

I broke my leg, my tibia near the top by my left knee. I developed DVT within a week in my left calf and knee then I had 3 PE .


I was hospitalized over night 2 weeks ago. I have extreme pain and anxiety. I am on blood thinners.


Does anyone else have anxiety? Especially at night?

Yes this is very common. Check out the PE group. Lot of members discuss their anxiety and coping strategies..

Talk to your doctor about it too to be sure you're getting some help with the pain. I think being in a lot of pain contributes to the anxiety. Your doc may also be able to help you address the anxiety too.

I started having anxiety attacks at night after my PE. Never experienced them before that. I don't understand the connection but it seems to be common. I have to take Xanax when it gets bad.

I dont like taking it and I'm working on getting off of it.

I hope it gets better for you.

like you my diagnosis is fairly recent. we could be spiritual twins as they say because you put into words the same things im feeling. i just posted on basically the same issue but in a 50000 word essay since i was nervous about posting at all.

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
