Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
So I was diagnosed with a DVT this year, early january. Honestly, it was one of the most scary things in my life. Fortunately it was small and located in my left peroneal vein in my left leg. I mean it was small enough to release me the same day from the ER when I was diagnosed. I just took Eliquis 20mg total and then 10mg for 3 months and now I'm on 2.5mg for up to a year. The DVT was unprovoked and non-occlusive. I think it was due to sitting in my seat overbreak watching youtube videos and gaming for sometimes 12 hours a day... Anyway, since then I've fixed my habits and started taking way better care of my body. I guess I wanted to post here to ask if anyone else has shared a similar experience to mine in their life and if not, got any tips from your experience?
Currently I am suffering daily from what seems like PTS as the symptoms are almost exactly like when I had the DVT, such as leg heaviness and tighness and aching, but these symptoms go away when I am sitting or lying down. They only act up when I am walking or jumping. Any advice?
Thanks!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
