Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.

Just wondering if you all can offer tips on wearing compression hose.
Here's the issue: I was initially wearing knee length hose but ended up with a second DVT partially blamed on the hose reducing circulation behind the knee. So I got mid thigh hose. They kept falling down so I got some "It stays" which worked great but know I have an infection in the back of my leg where the elastic band hits.
I work a week on/ week off job that requires several long shifts in a row. Constantly up and down, it's hard to keep the hose in place. I know I need the hose. My right calf feels and looks so much better when I use them.
So... Any suggestions on how to make this work?
Thanks in advance!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
You can get a garter to hold it up as well. I can't speak to this but I know it's an option.
Another option for you could be to get a full custom fitted leg sock. Not cheap, but might be well worth it.
I use Johnson's Baby Pure Corn Starch to help get the stockings up easier, and to elevate any chafing and stuff.
Good thought on wearing them inside out, too!
