Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.

I also wanted to ask because after reading some of the other discussions, I'm reading things that I am experiencing. I would like to know the expected experiences you are feeling with the condition. I have DVT with bilateral PE and periodically I get these warm or hot pinpoint pains in my lungs. Nothing terrible but I can put my finger right on where it is happening and it goes away after a few minutes. I also feel slightly breathless as if I notice that I have not been taking in enough oxygen. After a few deep breaths I feel better, but I may also feel a bit funny, not dizzy but heavy headed or fatigued. Last week I developed a pain in my right heel and I see that the inside of my ankle has a lump. There is no bruising or redness but there is warmth and tenderness when I touch it that goes under the outside of my heel. Has anyone ever experienced these symptoms? We are getting new insurance so I need to find a doctor in my network, but I don't know if it is better to apply cold or heat or should I leave it alone? Are these symptoms of our condition?

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
As for the ankle lump, I'd get that checked out probably. It might not be a clot at all (they don't really cause lumps) but it could be something else that needs attention. My husband has similar symptoms, but they're a result of issues with his achilles tendon.
