Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
I usually wear a silicone band that says coumadin when I ride my bike alone. I forgot it the other day though so I wrote coumadin on my wrist with a marker. It survived the sweat and sunscreen. Maybe I'll set a new trend. :-)

You know how you can microchip your dog or cat --I sometimes wish I could microchip myself too with my medical info and contact numbers. I know, all sorts of privacy issues in doing that, but part of me wants to do it.

Oh, I know. Why I only "sort of" want a chip. I work in publishing and one of our publishers is mostly SF/Fantasy so I have read a lot of books that had implanted chips going way wrong too.

Hahah... I do always think how we'd never have to carry wallets or purses because you could just put all that stuff on on a chip, you know. But yeah then I think, ugh, nothing good can ultimately come from that. I will say that microchipping dogs and cats is to me one of the greatest inventions ever.

I got a free MedicAlert necklace and plan, but I don't know if they offer that anymore. The membership is pretty cheap. It holds all my medical info and emergency contacts.
