back story last May had a superficial blood clot in left knee. Had great saphenous vein removed 7 months later. 2 months after developed DVT in same leg. Put on 3 months of xarelto.
Just stopped xarelto to do blood work.
Have factor v Leiden
anybody have this ? What course of action did ur doc take.
Have another ultrasound on Monday.
Woukd love to Play hockey again. Can't do that while on blood thinners.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I have heterogenus LVF - caught after DVT and was on a drug trial - which did nothing for me. DVT now chronic after 8 years.
However, Since my DVT I had a heart attack and on blood thinners for that (Clodiprogol and aspirin) seems to be keeping the DVT at bay as well.
Was on Prasugrel prior to clodiprogol - but too much gum bleeding and v expensive drug.
A short spell on warfarin (after bypass surgery) which was horrendous - too easily bruised, careful watch on vit K foods.
A friend of mine uses xarelto and all seems well for him.
