I haven't been on Xarelto myself, but you might check with a pharmacist and see if your symptoms could be related to the Xarelto.

With the low heart rate, faintness, and dizziness, I think I'd also check in with my doctor. None of that sounds pleasant to deal with and the last thing you want to do is pass out (and possibly hit your head) while on an anticoagulant.

I agree with Toss. Not on Xarelto but if it were me, I'd contact my doctor. Could you be anemic? Are you staying hydrated?

Agree with the others, I don't know about the Xarelto but 45 is a pretty low heart rate unless you're an extremely fit athlete. I think you should talk to your doctor about it when you can, especially considering you're not feeling well along with it.

If you research enough you will see that Xarelto can cause low blood pressure in a few people. I was kept on two 15 m tablets a day for five months. When I was switched to the one pill a day my blood pressure is back to normal.

Also be aware of your urine. I had a problem that has gotten better since I'm on one pill a day. Kidney problems is also on their list of things to be aware of.

I had to get on the xarelto web site to find all the reactions and side effects to watch for.

I am on 2x15mg per day. The evening tablet causes no problems but the morning one, I have palpitations and feel faint and just very weird for about an hour afterwards. Just wondering if the body will get used to these tablets ! Could it be anxiety ? This is all very frightening x

I would mention it to your doctor, or even ask your pharmacist if that's a side effect and is it something that is temporary. It's hard to sort this stuff out because anxiety fairly common for many people after diagnosis.

Igll-I had similar issues when taking 2X daily but once I switched to the 1X daily, I felt better. When you go to the lower once daily dose, I recommend you take it at night which seems to help. That being said, i do think part of my issue was anxiety which has lessened some with time.

i have had the same issues...i've been on xarelto for 2 days. it really is hard not to have anxiety about everything. you just never know.

I've been on Xarelto since July also. I haven't experienced low heart rate, but I have had anxiety and a couple of slight spells of dizziness, which I connect to when I have been sitting on something with my leg hanging down too long. I'm guessing impeded blood flow? What did your Dr. say about it Chrissie?

I also had spells of dizziness early in recovery, in part because blood would back up in my leg behind the clot and wasn't getting up to my head again. It was mostly while walking around, but I could see it happening with sitting as well.

I too have a low heart rate, though had it before Xarelto. I have read that having a low heart rate can contribute to some factors of people getting clots, i.e. blood slowing and pooling. Not a doctor obviously, but the Xarelto would help us in those situations I would think. :)
