Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
Have you asked your doc what the plan is after the 3 months on injections. I mean, maybe just understand the steps he's taking will help you sort it out in your own mind.
Have you considered seeing someone about the anxiety. If you're feeling anxious and depressed, that may help.
Have an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow morning.
Try not to worry.
I am new here, and read your prev post. Is there a good chance these clots are old? Did they not scan that area last time? I would def write down all your questions and concerns and take them with you to your appt. I have learned in the past 10 days that I need to be more aggressive with my doctor regarding my DVT treatment.
Regarding the screening, I understand your fears. They have yet to find a "cause" for my clot. It is scary, but I just keep telling myself that all of my other screenings and bloodwork have been normal. I keep up on all my preventive health, and even at 37yo, have had a colonoscopy. But, trust me, I get it. :-(
I have also been experiencing anxiety and depression. It stinks. My doctor gave me a script for Ativan to help with my panic attacks (which are new to me). I can't say I recommend it for everyone, but it is nice to have something just in case I need it.
Please keep us posted. I will be keeping you in my thoughts.
Hang in there. Let us know what your doctor says. :-)

Especially for new patient, the unknowns can be overwhelming and often resurface when it comes time to come of anticoagulants. Likewise, I know several PE patients who even after all these years still get pretty bad anxiety on the anniversary of their clotting episode.
Hope all goes well for you!!

It really sounds like you have a great medical team working to keep you healthy. :-)
Really glad that everything was clear for you, though. So awesome!
