Last week our site operations folks re-built two of our servers to repair connection issues with our database. The result, it now seems, is that our issues with 'error 500', blank pages, and submitting duplicate content have been resolved.
If you do encounter one of these issues, please let us know by filling out a feedback form.
Thanks, Lars
now, on to the dozen other problems.
I'm back to getting the 'error 500' again!!! (Although, as I say, I'm also getting another one now. 'TEMPORARILY_THROTTLED')
Blank pages, have to refresh to get anything to post:(
ROTFL!!!!
It seems better this morning. I think quality control needs to be investigated!
Frustrating as it is for you all, it is even more so for us (I waited a good five days of 'error 500'-free usage before communicating that it appeared the problem was resolved). This morning, engineering once again restarted a number of our servers to improve the database connections (this is the specific problem we are working on).
They are working on a longer term solution now while also monitoring the database connection more closely. Until the underlying issues are fixed, we may experience the blank pages / error 500 issues infrequently. When these issues occur, our engineers have procedures in place to temporarily resolve them and restore normal site operations. We also have monitoring systems that alert our team once the errors crop up again.
In the future, if you experience blank pages or error 500s, please fill out a feedback form http://www.dailystrength.org/help/feedback - this is the quickest way to notify our team. Replying to the threads here or messaging me directly, only slows down the process.
Thanks, Lars
Wen't computers sposed to make our lives better?!?!?!?!?!?
LOL
Perhaps you can explain how a person can log onto DS help if we get blank pages. Perhaps you can instruct us?
Inquiring minds want to know.
