Hello,
A few hours ago the site was updated (DS 2.5.0 is the current build version). Here is what was included in this latest update:
- Hugbooks are now visible to members who are authenticated to view your profile page.
- Discussion posts now have real dates.
- The issue with some posts missing the date stamp should now be resolved.
- Deleted members no longer have the friending, hug, and messaging icons on their profile.
- A “Back to all Posts” link has been added to the bottom of discussion post pages. - The text in the footer and hamburger menu that linked to the FAQs has been changed from “FAQ” to “HELP / FAQ”.
- The signed out activity feeds should now always display content.
- The issue in the newsfeed where some words are split onto multiple lines should now be resolved.
- Content you may be interested in has been added to the bottom of individual discussion pages.
Best,
TeamDS

Hiya,It's cloudy with the occasional show of sunshine. It was sooo hot last night, felt like the worst night this year, which is odd because it's been incredibly hot this summer for us. Maybe I just felt it last night.Still, it's all going to change now and the weather will shift. Of course there's going to be a few more nice days left this month and next, but essentially I guess the "hot...

Oh wait, I know...they purposely want us to have to scroll unnecessarily back up past the popular posts and past the posts you might be interested in (NOT!) which means EVEN MORE UNNECESSARY SCROLLING on top of the MASSIVE amount of already unnecessary scrolling we have to do to get anywhere on this "site."
Too bad the ds PTB didn't take a page from the National Weather Service (NOAH) and actually communicated with us specifically and clearly as to what was going to happen and when? (And then actually have it work!)
At the very top of their pages is this notice:
"Notice of NWS' New Version of Forecast
A new version of Forecast will launch March 7, 2017.
Click here to visit the new site for details."
They don't have huge space wasting headers that take up half the page. Instead the link https://forecast-v3.weather.gov/documentation?redirect=legacy takes you to a very logically designed and CLEARLY EXPLAINED documentation page that offers tabs for "faqs," "what's new," "API reference" and "preview." Under the "what's new" tab, there a links to preview various old pages and the new pages that ACTUALLY WORK so we know what it will look like and what's changing. Under the preview tab, if you scroll down just a LITTLE bit, there are all kinds of weather related links that also actually work.
MOST OF ALL, as far as I can tell, they didn't change how it appears on computers all that much. Based on what I've read so far, they mostly made the site more compatible for mobile devices WITHOUT screwing up the original site!!! And there's no unnecessary scrolling that I can see so far!
If you want to see a class act website, check out the national weather service website. If the govt (that always makes things harder and more complicated) can do this, then ds darn sure should be able to.
Oh, wow......just a taste of a banner.
I look at posts and they go back to years ago and mixed in with recent posts.
DS, please get your act together. I really don't want to leave but it is almost like you are making it easy to leave.
