I don't want certain ppl knowing my health issues.
I think it's a BAD move. Just like the drag and drop on the photos. The photo carries the web addy to DS.
As another member said I don't want some of my family and friends knowing of my health and emotional problems, as some of them wouldn't understand.
My FB profile is the "outer" me, my DS profile is the "inner" me. I like to be careful about who sees the inner me!
What comes next? an auto update to Twitter????
Guys, you can't even keep email alerting working! Please concentrate on what is important for DS members. Voice chat might be nice......

Not a good idea DS gang.
Like all web sites out there, we need people to use our service to survive and even thrive. Facebook Connect, as an optional feature, gives us a way to spread the word about DailyStrength to more people. And that, I believe, is a good thing.
If its not for you, please don't use it. If it is, please try it out - I think you'll like it.
Thanks, Lars
I don't think some of the posters on this thread fully comprehended that the feature is voluntary and that no one is being forced to connect their DS profile with Facebook. For those who wish to connect, this is at their discretion and I am glad they will have the choice as individuals to decide for themselves.
This is supposed to be an ANONYMOUS site. Linking w/FB or any other site sort of defeats anonymity, dontcha think?
And given how privatized profiles & journals can end up in google caches, I'm not all that secure in the idea that if I don't sign up for the FB connection, that somehow things on some level will still be interconnected...
And quite frankly I really wish that DS techs would work on improving DS site instead of connecting to other websites. For example, I've seen many very valid & helpful suggestions in this group that would be well worth working on. Among them are suggestions relating to the subgroups; several have to do with being able to sort & categorize our friends lists and others have to do with giving us more choices as to which of our friends can view our journals, just to name a few.
I suspect the real reason for DS connecting to other websites is the monetary benefit DS owners will receive & nothing more...
I realize that it is optional but please give me the reasons why you think it is so beneficial to the DS members and why it was worth spending the development dollars on it?
How much did it cost by the way??
In terms of members requests for enhanced functionality where did this option come on the list???
By the way, the Help system doesn't allow searching with Safari or Chrome, maybe you'd like to spend some bucks fixing that????
Craig
On the other hand, it's seems to be more beneficial to the DS site than it's members. Doing this can also get rid of the anonymous status that DailyStrength originally pointed out.
I think I'm going to do this, connect my facebook to DS. I've got nothing to hide and I'm proud of what I've done here so far.
